Waterplane
It is May 1912 and the Henry Farman Waterplane, part of the Daily Mail waterplane circuit, has arrived in Town.
Flights in the 70 horsepower plane were offered to one person at a time.
Those fortunate enough were ferried to the plane from the shore where considerable crowds gathered to watch what must have been spectacular take-offs and landings.
Boarding appears to have been a precarious business given the position of the platform.
