Holidaymakers queuing to hire a boat to row around the Swannery, someone feeding the ever hungry Swans, this was Summer in 1950s Weymouth .

I recall, as a child, the loss of a young neighbour when the canoe he was using overturned in the upper part of the swannery.

 The reclamation work to build what is now the Car Park has yet to commence
