Here we see the result of the landfill which reclaimed the area of the backwater.

The viaduct for the railway to Portland is visible and in the far distance on the high ground is
the building that was The Convent of The Sacred Heart.

Today the gardens to the right and the greenhouses have all gone, to be replaced by the inevitable
car park.
