Paddle Steamer Trip

No visit to the Seaside would have been complete without a trip on a Paddle Steamer.

Those which served the Weymouth holidaymakers were operated by Cosens & Co. Ltd.

Names I can recall are Victoria and Embassy but there were several others offering trips to Lulworth Cove, Swanage and round the Isle of Portland.

It is a tribute to the quality of the original builders that The Waverley a restored survivor is still operating and is never short of passengers wherever she appears.
