New Pier Bandstand

This picture shows the opening of the Pier Bandstand in full art deco glory. Spoiled only by those ugly concrete legs which provided the support. I am sure many Weymouth residents and visitors can recall an interesting visit to the Pier for a show, beauty contest, talent contest, wrestling or dances. Those enormous flower pot arrangements on the prom can just be seen.
