The
Allandale Guest House in Carlton Road South almost opposite The Park
Hotel.
These large detached houses were built in the latter half of the 19th. Century as the adjoining Park District was developing. Carlton Road North, Glendenning and Kirtleton Avenues all contained similar properties, the latter had Horse Chestnut trees that provided plenty of 'conkers' in season. |
