Another of Kestins fine black and white views with good use of a yellow filter on the camera lens to define the clouds. Bowleaze was certainly a quieter place in those pre-war days. The Jordan River flows through the middle of the camp site. The Embassy Hotel had yet to be built. Many a Friday night was spent there with David Coombes and Herbie Pover sampling the Watneys Red Barrel and joining in the singalong. |
