I wonder if this lovely lady gave a thought to the possibility that some eighty years later her smile could be transmitted electronically, possibly all over the world. The number, bottom left, 7999 is that given by the photographer - Chambers perhaps - who had a concession to operate along the Esplanade and sands. The morning after the pictures were taken they would be displayed outside their kiosk and quoting the number you were able to purchase the print. |
