Weymouth In Old Postcards and Photographs

The Beating of the Bounds in Weymouth, the date is May 24th. 1909. The location appears to be somewhere by the Nothe or Underbarn. John Templeman has contacted me advising that he believes the gentleman at the front left of the picture is Alderman Thomas John Templeman J.P (1848-1919). Mr. Templeman was a Councillor and also Mayor from 1898 to 1905. He was also a major shareholder, if not the owner, of the Gloucester Hotel. There is also a portrait in the Weymouth museum.
