Weymouth In Old Postcards and Photographs

Weymouth from an Aeroplane circa 1910

An early aerial view showing great detail.

The bandstand has yet to be covered by The Kursaal in Alexandra Gardens, so it is pre 1913.

The Red Barracks at the Nothe are clearly visible as are the Breweries in Hope Square.

Holy Trinity Church and Town Bridge can also be seen.

New housing is obvious on the Weymouth side and much of the older parts of Melcombe Regis are still intact.

I think this photo was probably taken on the same flight as the shot of the Kings Statue
