Weymouth in old postcards and photographs

The Swannery circa 1902

Another of the older cards from my collection, this card was probably printed towards the end of the 19th. century. It has the cameo style view and an undivided back for the address, the message surrouding the view.

In the message the writer notes - 'Weymouth was very gay on Thursday as the Royal Yacht, with the King and Queen aboard, anchored in the Bay and the seafront was illuminated'
The date in the bottom left hand corner is August 23rd. 1902 and the address is 2, Royal Terrace.
