From the very fashionable bathing costume sported by the young lady I think this view can be dated around the early 1930s.

The pontoons for Cosens motor boat services can be clearly seen, incredible to think that most of these pontoons and boats survived a war and lasted well into the 1950s & 60s.

It was great to sit on these pontoons in the early evening with a bamboo cane that had a meat skewer attached trying to spear the flatfish as the tide came in.
